Training School

Another service offered by  Segafredo Zanetti Australia that will guarantee the quality of your coffee production, is our complimentary training school. Our consultants with years of experience in true Italian coffee making will train your staff on location. Our aim is to give all those who work in the hospitality industry full knowledge of the product, as well as the equipment and the type of service that is required so their customers' expectations will be fully satisfied. Training aims to spread the quality and culture of the finest Italian Espresso Worldwide.

 

Designed for staff, it covers all aspects of the coffee process. Lessons are always combined with a full program of practical exercises. Certificate of Achievement are awarded on completion of our training school. All students who participated and achieved a high level of coffee production skills will receive this certificate. Our training program not only entails the making of a perfect espresso,cappuccino,latte, etc but it also includes theory on relevant factors such as:


    * Customer Service

    * Maintaining coffee equipment

    * Coffee grinder settings

    * Quality Control


As part of our effort to promote and maintain a high level of quality in the coffee process we have formulated a system which allows careful control on the production of coffee through all outlets.


The Importance of Grinder Settings

To ensure that the process of making coffee is as cost effective as possible allowing greater return on each cup, we guarantee that a perfect coffee can be achieved by only using a 7g dose of coffee for each shot. Most other coffees will use 8g dose per shot instead of the required 7g, this generates an extra 15% (approx.) usage of product. Which in turn means that your establishment may be using 8 kilos of coffee beans instead of the required 7 kilos to produce the equivalent cups of coffee. Here at Espresso Italia, we realise that getting the most out of your coffee beans is important, that is why we believe that any business purchasing medium to large amounts of coffee need to properly calibrate their coffee grinder.
