How is Matcha made?
Matcha Tea is unquestionably the most exquisite green tea. For over 800 years, Buddhist monks have been using Matcha tea simply because of its incredible calming and energising properties, allowing your body to attain a beautiful inner harmony.
Grown from shaded tea bushes – the leaves used to make Matcha are hand-picked from the tea plants and dried. The dried leaves are then ground into a fine, jade-green tea powder using granite grinding wheels.
Sadō, the Japanese Tea Ceremony
Sadō (meaning ‘the way of tea‘) is a Japanese tea ceremony that involves the mindful preparation, presentation and consumption of green tea. Held in a tea room guided by Zen principles of purity, respect, tranquillity and harmony, Sadō is a meditative practice that invited calmness and mindfulness.
