Segafredo Zanetti Extra Strong Coffee Beans

Our Extra Strong Coffee Beans are made with a mixture of the highest quality coffee beans from Central America and Central Eastern Africa. Both grown from high altitudes, the Extra Strong contains a high percentage of Arabica bean varieties with a medium acidity level and earthy flavour.

The Extra Strong local roast has a sweet, smooth and chocolate finish with a spicy and slightly malty aroma.

- - Where is Segafredo Zanetti’s coffee beans roasted in Australia?

We roast our coffee in Melbourne according to Segafredo’s patented recipe. This means that the Segafredo 'Extra Strong' coffee you drink in Australia will have the same taste like the one you would find Milano.

- - How fresh are your coffee beans?

Our coffee is generally roasted about 3 to 8 weeks before hitting our shelves - which is a good thing. After the beans are roasted, they will continue to extract oils and gases for another few weeks, contributing to the richness of the flavour and aroma of the coffee. Otherwise, if the freshly-roasted beans are distributed too soon, the coffee will not produce the same complete flavour as it would have when the beans are left to process over time.

- - How should I store my coffee beans after opening?

You should store your coffee in a dry place away from sunlight. There is an old rumour about storing your beans in the fridge - this is something we recommend against. Storing beans in the fridge will make them go stale faster and expose them to moisture and smells from other foods.

- - What is the shelf life of Segafredo Zanetti coffee beans and how can I prolong it?

Our coffee beans have a Best Before Date of 12 months after the day of roasting. However, the ideal time to consume the beans is between 2-6 months of roasting.

To prolong the shelf life, it is important you properly seal the bag to prevent air and moisture from entering. An airtight storage container is the best, however, an industry secret we can share with you is to use a hair straightener to re-seal the bag.

- - Are there any discounts for bulk purchases?

Yes, we do! You will receive $2 off per kilogram when you purchase above 8 kilograms of any of our Premium Segafredo Zanetti coffee beans.

Yes! After purchasing 8kgs of Segafredo coffee, you will receive a free service valued at $140 at any of our service centres. - - Can I buy your coffee beans for home use? Is there a minimum amount that I can purchase?

Yes, our coffee is ideal for both home-use and busy cafes. There is no minimum order, however, if you do not want to commit to 1kg bags of coffee beans, we offer them in 500g as well as 250g pre-ground coffee. We also offer free delivery Australia-wide for purchases over $60.
